ASME Y14.5 : Dimensioning and Tolerancing

A condition in which a movable or variable true geometric counterpart progresses from maximum material boundary (MMB) toward least material boundary (LMB) until it makes maximum allowable contact with the extremities of a datum feature(s) to establish a datum.
